French Open to use lottery system for 2025 tickets — register by February 9

by | Jan 27, 2025

For the first time ever, Roland-Garros will be using a ticket lottery to distribute tickets to fans for the French Open on May 25-June 8.

Previously, fans would simply purchase tickets on Ticketmaster during an onsale. But with demand skyrocketing in recent years, organizers took a page out of Wimbledon’s playbook and have set up a formal public ballot.

Registration opened today, and will run through February 9th. For those fans who are selected, emails will be sent out in early-to-mid March. Once your ticket purchase window opens, you’ll have two days to make a purchase. Their release says that the purchase window will open at 10am, but does not clarify if that is 10am Paris time, or 10am in the time zone of the registrant.
