The Boston Red Sox announced that single-game tickets for all June and July home games at Fenway Park will go on sale to the general public on Thursday, February 13th at 10am Eastern. No password is required. For more information or to purchase tickets, click here.
The schedule for June includes a weekend series against the New York Yankees, while the July schedule includes a weekend series against the Dodgers. The Dodgers series in particular is almost certain to sell out, so the onsale may be the best opportunity to get tickets at reasonable prices.
One of the most important things about these staggered onsales is that the Red Sox will also release Green Monster seats for sale during this event. These onsales are often the best way to purchase these coveted seats without paying exorbitant resale prices. And one of the best ways to get a great deal on Green Monster tickets is to purchase SRO passes, which, depending on the game, can sometimes be had for less than $100.
Having purchased Green Monster SRO tickets before, I can tell you that it’s a very cool experience. While you won’t be able to see plays occurring in left field, that’s a small price to pay for the experience of being at the top of the Mahnstah (we might not want to do it for a World Series game, but for a regular season game, we’d do it in a heartbeat). The SRO area is behind the Green Monster seats, and has a railing that extends the length of the section. So if you get there early and find a spot, you’ll have a place to both lean and put your food/drink.
Other seats of note to keep an eye out for are the tables in front of the Samuel Adams bar in upper right field. These are some of our favorite seats in the ballpark, and if you’ve got a group of four, we think this is a great spot to watch a game from. There’s no food or beverage included with these seats, but the Sam Adams bar is right behind them, so getting beverages is easy. (On the other hand, getting food requires a bit of a walk).
Tickets for April and May games are already on sale. As always, when purchasing seats, be sure to check both the team’s ticketing options as well as sites like StubHub and SeatGeek, which tend to have the most available MLB inventory.
