TCU @ Arizona State, 6:00pm (NCAA-F)
Seattle Seahawks @ Arizona Cardinals, 5:15pm (NFL)

*All times local to game location.

What we like

It’s a surprisingly quiet weekend in Phoenix. However, if you want to push the envelope and are willing to give up the NFL pregame, you could hit up the Dodgers @ D’Backs game at 12:40 on Thursday, followed by the NFL game that night at 5:15. It’s tight, but if you jumped in the car (or a rideshare) at 3:30 from Chase Field, you could probably be in your seat in Glendale at 5:15 (or shortly thereafter). Regardless, on Friday you can head to Tempe to see TCU at the Sun Devils, with food and drinks on Mill Avenue. Then you’ll have the rest of the weekend to sightsee around Phoenix and Scottsdale.

Bottom Line

We don’t know about you, but when it comes to going to Phoenix, we sort of like it a lot more in November and December. We like Week 11, when you can see the Suns, ASU football, and Cardinals all on the same weekend. On the road, the Week 1 Saints/LSU doubleheader and the Week 6 Colts/Notre Dame doubleheader are both football heaven. But the ultimate road trip this year will be Week 18 in Los Angeles. The Rose Bowl, Kings, Lakers, Clippers, Ducks … how can you go wrong with that!??
