2026 World Baseball Classic teams and pools finalized

With the qualifying rounds now finished, the field for the 2026 World Baseball Classic has been set, along with the pools that those teams will compete in.

The teams that emerged from the qualifying rounds were Colombia, Brazil, Chinese Taipei, and Nicaragua. They will join the already selected 16 qualified teams, headlined by the US, Japan, and Puerto Rico.

The group rounds will take place in San Juan, Houston, Tokyo, and Miami from March 5-11. The quarterfinals will be in Houston and Miami on March 13-14, followed by the semifinals in Miami on March 15-16. The championship will be played at loanDepot Park on March 17.

Specific ticket information has not been released yet, but you can register for updates from the WBC by clicking here. For those interested in a little long-term planning and a possible doubleheader opportunity, the Miami Open tennis tournament will be taking place in Miami from March 15-29, which overlaps nicely with the quarterfinals, semifinals, and championship round of the WBC. If you’re a tennis fan, the Miami Open has quickly become a really popular event, so this is a great chance to see two fantastic tournaments in the same week.
