Less than a week after announcing the lineup for its Innings Festival, the concert series put on by Major League Baseball in conjunction with Spring Training in Phoenix, the event has now also released the lineup for the “Extra Innings Festival”, which takes place the following weekend.
The follow-up event, held at Tempe Beach Park on February 27-28, will feature a country lineup, with Luke Bryan and Dierks Bentley headlining on Friday, and Kane Brown and Hardy headlining on Saturday. Additional bands will play throughout the day, so check the lineup poster to see what might interest you.
The event also features appearances by former MLB players and other baseball-related celebrities, as well as food trucks and retail pop-up sites.
Tickets are now on sale for the first weekend of shows, and the second weekend will have a presale on September 18th at 10am PT. General admission tickets are priced at $170 for the second weekend, plus tax and shipping fees (the event uses wristbands instead of tickets, so they have to be shipped to you). There are also multi-day passes, as well as multiple levels of VIP seating.
The event rarely sells out of general admission tickets (at least in advance), so there’s no immediate hurry to purchase passes. But note: because the festival uses wristbands, buying entry via resale websites close to the event can be very difficult, since there may not be enough time to receive your wristbands via mail or express service. So we do think it’s a good idea to purchase tickets in advance.
We’ve been to almost all of the Innings Festivals since they launched in 2018, and think they are really good events. They’ve been able to attract great headliners, and the grounds never seem too busy. If you’re heading to Spring Training for the Cactus League next year, it’s definitely worth checking out.
