The NFL announced today that it will return to Corinthians Arena this fall with another NFL game in Sao Paulo, Brazil. That’s the same stadium that hosted last year’s Eagles-Packers game, and this year will play host to the Los Angeles Chargers as the home team.
While the date was announced — Friday, September 5th — the opponent and game time will be revealed in May, likely in advance of the full NFL schedule release.
The Chargers home opponents this year include:
- Denver Broncos
- Kansas City Chiefs
- Las Vegas Raiders
- Houston Texans
- Indianapolis Colts
- Minnesota Vikings
- Philadelphia Eagles
- Pittsburgh Steelers
- Washington Commanders
Of these, the Steelers and Colts have already been announced as host teams for other international games in 2025, so those teams are unlikely to be the Chargers’ opponents. And with the Eagles being the defending champions, they are already slotted into the Thursday night NFL opener at Lincoln Financial Field.
So who will it be? Stay tuned. In the meantime, if you’re a Chargers fan and would like to go to Sao Paolo for the game, it makes sense to go ahead and book some refundable hotels for that opening weekend. That way, at least you’ll be locked down on lodging, and can then focus on tickets. And once you have tickets, then you can focus on airfare.
We will report back with further details about ticket opportunities for the game.
