IndyCar announced the dates for the new Dallas street race for next year. The race itself will take place on Sunday, March 15th, with practice on Friday the 13th and qualifiers on Saturday the 14th.
The 2.73-mile track will weave its way through the Arlington Entertainment District, which is primarily comprised of the three stadiums that reside there: AT&T Stadium (Dallas Cowboys), Globe Life Field (Texas Rangers), and Choctaw Stadium (UFL Arlington Renegades).
It’s highly likely that there will be a whole weekend of entertainment programming that accompanies the race, including some sort of Fan Fest and very likely a headlining concert.
For those who are interested, the booking window for Marriott hotels will open in another week, so keep a close eye on that, as we’ve already seen the two Loews Hotels in the District showing that they are sold out. Of course there are plenty of other options for lodging in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area, so finding a room won’t be a specific problem. But if you want to stay right at the race track, you’ll want to book early.
