The Red Sox announced today that single-game tickets for their games in August and September at Fenway Park will go on sale to the public on March 14th at 10 a.m. EDT.
Unlike most teams who put all of their single game tickets on sale at the same time, the Red Sox stagger their ticket sales. So if you’re thinking about visiting Fenway in late summer and early fall, this may be a good opportunity to buy tickets at face value.
Of course it’s also a good idea to check some of the ticket resale sites to see if there are tickets available that meet your interest and budget. Many of the tickets available on sites like SeatGeek and Stubhub belong to season ticket holders, and they often resell tickets that are better than those being offered by the team. In addition, they may be offering some premium tickets (like Green Monster or Home Plate Pavilion Club) that are hard to find in the team’s inventory.
Key August matchups at Fenway Park include a weekend series against the Astros on August 9-11, and a weekday series against the defending World Champion Texas Rangers on August 12-14. In September, late-season divisional showdowns with the Orioles and Rays will be on the docket.
In terms of promotions, the Red Sox will have the following giveaways available:
Thursday, August 29: Dave Roberts “Steal” Bobblehead for the first 7500 fans
Monday, September 9: David Ortiz Hall of Fame Funko Pop for the first 7500 fans
With the giveaways limited to only the first 7500 fans, these may be high demand games that have a higher ticket price on resale sites. If you’re interested in either of these, be sure to check Stubhub and Seatgeek for prices, and if they seem high, try to purchase tickets for these games during the upcoming onsale.
