This year’s MLS All-Star Game will feature the MLS All-Star Team taking on the LIGA-MX All Star Team for a summer showdown in Austin, TX.
The game will take place at Q2 Stadium in Austin, home of FC Austin. The All-Star Game will be held on Wednesday, July 23, while the MLS All-Star Skills Challenge will be held the day before on Tuesday, July 22nd. Both events will start at 8pm, but you can expect there to be plenty of activation outside of the stadium that will draw fans earlier.
A public onsale for tickets will take place on Wednesday, March 26th at 10am CT. With just 20,000 seats at Q2 Stadium, plus the popularity of soccer in Austin, plus the popularity of LIGA-MX, it wouldn’t be surprising if the game sold out, so this is an event where you’ll want to jump on the onsale when it happens.
This would also be a good time to book a refundable hotel room. While Austin isn’t the biggest place in the world, it certainly has enough hotel rooms to meet the demand for this event. But prices could certainly go up, so booking early makes good sense.

For those who are interested in what else is happening regionally, the Houston Astros will take on the Oakland Athletics at Daikin Park from Thursday 7/24 through Sunday 7/27.
In addition, the Houston Dynamo will play the LA Galaxy on 7/25 at Shell Energy Stadium, which is right across from the Astros’ stadium. Unfortunately both games on Friday 7/25 will be happening concurrently, but you can certainly see both teams play over the course of two days, making for a fun 3-4 day soccer and baseball roadtrip. Houston is just 175 miles away from Austin, and can be driven in about three hours.
