How many games should you see?

We think that you can easily justify a three-game visit to Target Field. Between the variety of interesting seating options and the great collection of foods, three games will give you a chance to experience the ballpark in a bunch of ways, from premium seating to bar seats to a good ‘ol game in the general bowl. But if two games are all you’ve got time for, that’s fine: we’ll give you our best suggestions to maximize your time.

When should you go to Target Field?

April can still be (and usually is) quite cold, so prepare for a game that resembles winter more than spring. If you can, aim for mid-May to September, when the weather is temperate and you can leave the heavy winter gear at home. While mid-May and late September can be chilly, the overall climate is more pleasant compared to early April.

If you do come in April, we recommend sitting in the Delta Sky360 club. You’ll have an excellent view from the outdoor concourse, but also access to the spacious indoor club where you can duck in for a snack and some warmth while keeping an eye on the game through the wall of windows.

About your Target Field Insider

Target-Field-overview-Contributor-Spencer-2021

I’m Spencer, your Target Field insider and long-time Minneapolis resident. I’ve been coming to Target Field since the stadium opened in 2010, and am a Twins season ticket holder. Having explored nearly every section of the ballpark and indulged in the offerings of every bar and stand, I’m pretty well-versed in all things Target Field.

My favorite seating area is the Delta Sky360 club, offering a fantastic view of the game with a padded outdoor seat along with access to a spacious indoor area with clean bathrooms, special food options, and large windows overlooking the field. As for food, here’s my Target Field ritual: get a bratwurst and drink from Kramarczuk’s before the game, and then follow it up with a boat of cheese curds around the fourth inning. (Yes, it comes in a small cardboard cutout of a canoe.)
