This month, the new Professional Softball League (PSL) will begin play in its inaugural season. The league combined seven independent clubs into one league, capitalizing on the nascent success of the Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL) last summer and the momentum of other new women’s sports leagues across the country. Softball fans have now gained two new leagues in the same number of years, a triumphant lead-up to softball’s return at the 2028 Summer Olympics in LA.
Starting up after the College Softball World Series ends, the PSL team rosters are expected to include some of Division I softball’s best players. The PSL will afford more college athletes the opportunity to play year-round to supplement collegiate training and perhaps look forward to LA 2028.
The season will run from June 12 until the playoffs in early August. The Atlanta Smoke, Florida Breeze, Florida Vibe, and Kansas City Diamonds will play full seasons, while the Chattanooga Chill, St. Louis Gatekeepers, and New York Rise will have reduced schedules.
The league is just starting up, and some teams have more concrete details and information available online than others.
Next Steps
If you’re interested in checking this new league out, you can look at the full schedule here.
While there is no link to buy tickets directly on the PSL website, each team’s social media and website (listed in the chart below) has more game information:
| Team Name | Location and Venue | Online Ticketing Available | # of Games Scheduled | Website/Social Media Link |
| Atlanta Smoke | Atlanta, GA | No | 29 | The Atlanta Smoke (schedule not updated) |
| Chattanooga Chill | NACC Stadium, Chattanooga, TN | No | 5 | Chattanooga Chill |
| Florida Breeze | Tampa Bay, FL | No | 14 | Florida Breeze |
| Florida Vibe | Palma Sola Softball Park, Bradenton, FL | No | 29 (3 are without a listed opponent) | Florida VIBE (schedule on website) |
| KC Diamonds | Legends Field, Kansas City, KC | Yes | 34 (3 in Puerto Rico) | KC Diamonds (schedule on website) |

However, it is important to note that some individual team websites either aren’t updated with the 2026 schedule or list games against teams outside the league. For example, the Atlanta Smoke website displays the 2025 schedule, and one unlisted team, the Iron, has five games against league opponents late in the season.
So if you’re looking to attend a game, especially one where tickets can’t be purchased beforehand, it might be safer to first watch a broadcast of the PSL on All Women’s Sports Network (AWSN). The games are also available for streaming on Prime, Pluto TV, and DirecTV. Another option for fast-pitch fans is AUSL games. Scheduling, broadcasting, and ticketing information for all AUSL teams is available here.
