by | Mar 29, 2026

LOS ANGELES — Organizers of the 2028 Summer Olympics have announced the soccer venues that will host the 2028 soccer tournament, and fans across the country will have the chance to attend matches without having to fly cross-country.

The matches will be played at seven venues across the United States:

  • Rose Bowl Stadium (Pasadena, California)
  • Energizer Park (St. Louis, Missouri)
  • Etihad Park (Queens, New York)
  • GEODIS Park (Nashville, Tennessee)
  • PayPal Park (San José, California)
  • ScottsMiracle-Gro Field Field (Columbus, Ohio)
  • Snapdragon Stadium (San Diego, California)

While Los Angeles is the host city, most matches will be played outside the region as part of a deliberate strategy to turn Olympic soccer into a national event. Early-round and knockout matches will be distributed among the host cities, allowing fans across the country to experience the Games firsthand.

The tournament will culminate at the historic Rose Bowl Stadium, where both the men’s and women’s gold medal matches are scheduled to take place.

LA28 officials said the venue plan reflects the surging popularity of soccer in the United States and the country’s unique geographic scale, creating a tournament that spans multiple regions while still anchoring its biggest moments in Southern California.

A detailed match schedule, including which cities will host specific rounds, is expected to be released closer to the Games.

It’s obviously too early to know game dates, but we do know that the LA28 soccer tournament will take place when baseball is going on, so there will undoubtedly be multi-venue road trip opportunities. We’ll break down the entire schedule when it’s released, but you can always check our Ultimate Sports Calendar to see what’s happening during any road trip.
